Leaflet Printing Bristol - Now improved… check out http://www.thelocalprintcompany.co.uk/bristol-printing/leaflet-printing/flat-leaflets.html
One of the South-West’s leading online printers and cheap printing website, thelocalprintcompany.co.uk has welcomed the post-Easter rush announcing a new range of smaller run, cheaper and single sided Leaflets aimed at the smallest businesses…
The new leaflets, aimed at helping the smallest businesses save money on promo printing are available in A6, DL and A5 size, and quantities as low as 250, as well as single and double sided, making them ideal for smaller businesses for whom the thousand plus quantities typically available in the past, were too large. It is hoped the new smaller volume will lead to less waste among customers, something owner Jeremy Plumley is keen to promote; “Smaller, more flexible quantities at smaller prices makes it possible to cut the immediate, customer wastage right down. Nobody likes waste, and whilst throwing a few leaflets away for one person might not be an issue, multiply that by the hundreds of orders we receive and you’ll see it very quickly becomes an issue”.
The new Leaflet range launched online earlier this month comes following feedback from customers that smaller quantities, as well as single sided printing would be beneficial to smaller businesses, especially at the sort of super-competitive prices thelocalprintcompany.co.uk has come to be known for.

So it’s Easter just around the corner, our homes will be full of chocolate, and in-line with tradition we’ll be visiting or being visited by relations we never usually see!
As such, and because we’ll be eating lots and lots we’re going to shut for a few days…
We’ll be closed on Friday 6th and Monday 9th so all orders placed after 5pm on Thursday 5th will be processed when we reopen on Tuesday 10th.
Have a great Easter break, and remember our website is always open for orders! Just visit http://ping.fm/OTCLV
See you there soon! :)
The last few months have flown by - we’ve been manic all day, every day. Crucially we’ve made a few decisions to improve the way we work and the speed of our service…
So for the moment we’re cutting right back on the amount of design work we handle in-house, instead are subcontracting out to a great team of designers.
We’ve also revamped the website, polishing the brand slightly and adopting a new cleaner type-face, along with some more technical back-end changes that are helping improve the way we communicate with customers. There’s still a little way to go to tie everything in together but main feature wise we’re there (hopefully)! On that front - online payments are now finally sorted… so you can pay using your credit / debit card again!
On the product front we’ve introduced a new thicker stock for business cards - so we’re now using 400gsm rather than the old slightly thinner 350gsm, which means we’re bang on the industry standard stock for business cards - and at quantities of 1000 we’re up there with the cheapest suppliers in the country! We’ve also dropped our letterheads down to 100gsm - this makes running them through printers a little easier, and reduces the delivery weights considerably - which in turn means our prices have come down further.
We’re looking to continue our rapid expansion in the coming months, so watch this space..!

We’re often asked what we mean when we say ‘coated’ or ‘uncoated’ paper… so here’s a quick introduction!
Coated Paper is printing stock that has an outer layer of coating. We stock two different finishes - Gloss and Silk. Coated paper tends to produce sharp, bright printing because the ink isn’t absorbed into the paper very much, and the coating means light is reflected well. It’s commonly used for leaflets, posters, flyers, business cards etc.
Uncoated Paper is print stock that doesn’t have an outer coating. Some people prefer it because it feels more natural. The results in print are totally different to coated stocks though, as the ink is absorbed into the paper, allowing the dots to expand resulting in a print that is less sharp, and less bright than coated stocks. It’s commonly used for stationery (letterheads and compliment slips) as well as business cards, loyalty cards, flyers etc
There we have it - a quick intro to coated and uncoated papers… Take a look at our website if you’re interested in ordering printing - http://ping.fm/y7umS
CMYK is used everywhere as way to achieve full colour printing. It’s also known as process, 4-colour process and full colour process and uses 4 ink colours - Cyan (C), Magenta (M), Yellow (Y), and Black (K - which stands for Key). The colours are layed down on the paper as tiny dots which combine to create the illusion (to our eyes) of other colours. If you have a look at something that’s been printed under a magnifying glass you should be able to see the ‘matrix’ of tiny dots of each colour!
There we have it - a quick intro to CMYK. Check out our website at http://ping.fm/994ZS if you’re looking to get something printed - we specialise in Flyers, Business Cards and Leaflets. :)
